Tech ME Trains 500 Youth In ICT Entrepreneurship

MTN Foundation and the Ministry of Communication recently partnered with Tech ME to deliver free training on ICT and business skills. 500 young people in Oyo State benefitted from the very impactful program which had facilitators from Oracle, KPMG, IBM and Digital Bridge Institute. The training sessions opened the minds of participants to the many possibilities of integrating technology in entrepreneurship. The Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, was available to present participants with their certificates.

Jerry Odili becomes one of the Brightest Young Minds in Africa

Founder of Tech ME,  Jerry Odili,  was among 100 exceptional youths selected from all over Africa as the "Brightest Young Minds." The Brightest Young Minds 7-day Summit recently took place in Sandton, South Africa where young leaders converged to receive training and exchange ideas aimed at moving the African continent forward. Brightest Young Minds recipients are leaders in their fields and selected from different sectors such as banking, technology, civil society and the public sector.

U.S. 241st Independence Celebration, Lagos

Dignitaries, leaders of industry, philanthropists, celebrities and other well-respected Nigerians came together to celebrate the US Independence with the US Mis sion and Ambassador Symington at the residence of the US Consular General, John F. Bray, in Ikoyi, Lagos, yesterday. Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija (richest woman in Africa), Mrs. Nike Davies Okundaye (CEO, Nike Arts Galleries), ex-governor Donald Duke and his wife Onari Duke, General T.Y Danjuma and his wife Daisy Danjuma, renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, award winning musician Flavour, and Nollywood star actress Kate Henshaw, were some of the notable Nigerians who graced the event. Jerry Odili, Program Manager, Save Our Needy and Founder of TechMe was also at the event.

Tech ME founder, Jerry Odili, spent the afternoon with Ambassador Walter Carrington and John F. Bray (U.S. Consular General). They spoke on how to solve social issues in Nigeria and the important role young people play. Walter Carrington served as United States Ambassador to Nigeria from 1993 -1997 during the military era. He was a strong advocate of democracy and spoke up for social justice.  

Smart Girls Program Makes Center Spread Of Punch Newspaper

BOARD OF TRUSTEES Jerry Odili is the founder and CEO of Tech ME. He is a socialpreneur with a passion for technology. After working in the banking industry, his desire for creating positive social change led him to form a nonprofit organization with a focus on ending extreme poverty through the promotion of education and the economic empowerment of the youth. He has developed as well as implemented education and entrepreneurship programs which have directly empowered more than 3,000 people. Jerry sits on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including Save Our Needy. Aisha Bello is an ardent Tech and Python community enthusiast with a strong desire and passion for social change, women’s tech education and empowerment in Africa.
